840, 860 or 900 corrugated profile - which should I choose?
Profiles with a narrower effective width such as 840 provide higher section rigidity for longer roof spans and heavier gauge. The 900 profile is lighter and suits roofs with close purlin centres. YX35-125-750 is used where higher load capacity is required. The roof span and wind zone should be stated when requesting the quotation.
What zinc coating is recommended for coastal GCC roofs?
Z180 is the practical minimum, and Z275 is preferred within roughly 2 km of the coast. For painted sheets, the PVDF or SMP system should be specified for the colour and the UV exposure of the project site.
PVDF or SMP paint - which lasts longer on corrugated sheets?
PVDF (70/30) offers the longest colour and gloss retention in high-UV Gulf conditions, typically exceeding 20 years of warranty life, while SMP provides an economical system with roughly 8-10 years of colour performance. Both are available with protective film on the painted face.
