SPCC or DC01 cold rolled steel - what is the difference?
Both are soft, low-carbon commercial grades for general stamping and forming: SPCC follows JIS G3141 and DC01 follows EN 10130 with defined mechanical properties. For deeper draws, SPCE or DC04 is recommended. The grade should be matched to the forming severity of your part.
What thickness tolerance can you hold across the coil width?
Tolerances are held within JIS G3141 or EN 10131 limits, typically about +/- 0.03 mm on a 1.0 mm gauge across the full coil width, with the thickness profile measured and reported on the MTC for each coil.
Bright or matte finish - which suits my process?
Matte finish retains lubricant better and is preferred for deep drawing, while bright finish is chosen for exposed parts and appliance panels after forming. The surface grade and roughness are confirmed on the certificate before the coil is dispatched.
