What Are Galvanized Steel Coils?
Galvanized steel coils are cold-rolled or hot-rolled steel coils coated with a protective layer of zinc through the continuous hot-dip galvanizing process. The zinc coating provides sacrificial corrosion protection, which makes galvanized coils the most cost-effective solution for applications where steel is exposed to moisture, humidity and coastal environments. In the GCC region, where high humidity and saline air accelerate corrosion, hot-dip galvanized coils are the standard choice for roofing, cladding, ducting and light structural fabrication.
