The Gulf energy sector is the largest buyer of line pipe and process pipe in the Middle East. Saudi Aramco alone guided capital expenditure of USD 50-55 billion for 2026, and ADNOC and QatarEnergy are expanding gas and petrochemical capacity in parallel. Most of this steel is fabricated outside the region and imported through Jebel Ali, Dammam, Jeddah and Hamad Port, which is why contractors and EPC firms continuously evaluate direct-from-mill supply.

Documentation and Compliance for Energy Projects
Energy-sector buyers rarely accept standard documentation. Sino East supplies a complete package for every order: a Mill Test Certificate per EN 10204 3.1 with heat numbers, chemical composition and mechanical properties; batch traceability back to the casting; and, on request, third-party inspection by SGS, Bureau Veritas or TUV before loading. For API 5L orders we can arrange additional testing such as hardness, impact at specified temperatures and NDT, to match the project specification.

Can you supply API 5L pipe with sour-service (H2S) certification?
Yes. PSL2 grades with controlled chemistry and impact testing can be supplied for sour-service applications, subject to the project specification and testing requirements. Contact us with the specification and we will confirm capability and documentation before quotation.
What is the typical lead time for a line pipe order to the Gulf?
For standard API 5L Grade B to X52 sizes held in stock, loading can be arranged within 15-20 days of order confirmation. Project-specific sizes and PSL2 grades are normally 30-45 days, depending on mill scheduling and the testing program required.

Which pipe standards do you supply for oil and gas projects?
We supply API 5L Grade B to X70 line pipe in PSL1 and PSL2, seamless up to 16 inches and LSAW for larger diameters, plus API 5CT casing and tubing in J55, K55, N80 and L80. Every delivery includes a Mill Test Certificate per EN 10204 3.1.
Can you supply pipe for sour service and H2S environments?
Yes. For sour service we supply grades with hardness control, low sulphur content and NACE MR0175-compliant testing. Please state the H2S partial pressure in your inquiry.
Can third-party inspection be arranged?
Yes, SGS, BV or TUV inspection can be arranged at the factory before loading or at the destination port.
